½ cup butter
½ cup peanut butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ¼ cup flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
¼ or ½ tsp. salt
1. Preheat oven to 350o.
2. Beat together the butters and the sugars till creamy.
3. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
4. Stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
5. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture gradually.
6. Form into 1 inch balls. Flatten with the floured tines of the fork, making a crisscross pattern.
7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
8. Remove to a cooling rack to harden. DO NOT STACK HOT COOKIES.
