½ c. butter
1 ½c. all-purpose flour
1c. Sugar
1 egg
½ t. vanilla
¼ t. Baking soda
¼ t. cream of tarter
2 T. sugar
1t. Cinnamon
1. In a large bowl beat the butter with an electric mixer for about 30 sec. to soften.
2. Add about half the flour to the butter. Then add the 1 c. of sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda and cream of tarter.
3. Add the remaining flour and beat till thoroughly combined, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.
4. In a shallow dish combine the 2T. sugar and cinnamon.
5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in the sugar mixture to coat.
6. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
7. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven about 10 min. Cool on cookie sheet about 1 min. then remove to cooling rack.
