Sugar Cookies


3 ¾ c. all purpose flour or 4c. Cake flour
2 ½ t. baking powder
½ t. salt
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. veg shortening
1 ½ c. sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
4 t. milk

1. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter and veg shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla till light and fluffy.
3. Gradually add the flour mixture alternating with the milk.
4. Package and refrigerate.

Day 2
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
2. Cut mixture in half working with one half at a time.
3. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface.
4. Cut with floured cutter.
5. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 9 min.
6. Cool on cooling rack then decorate.
